Review: Maria Freed (Dark Color Variant)
So, here we have a figure that may straddle the line between AnimeCDX and CollectionDX! A "re-imagined" statue of one of the token female characters from the classic Go Nagai giant robot anime UFO Grendizer! |
Review: Mon-Sieur Bome Collection Lucia
Although no scale is given, I estimate that she is about 1/8 scale, basing it on other figures of similar size (and 1/8 scale is generally the standard scale of most anime figures). I just have to say, the amount of detail on this figure is staggering. You can just see the love and care that went into an item such as this. |
Review: Ame Comi Batgirl
Both Batgirl and Supergirl sculpts have above-average detail for evident things like the batarang and utility belt on Batgirl but nothing else. From a distance and the right angle, they look okay but when you get REALLY close? You start to lose the character that so many Japanese statues have |
Review: Funny Knights Rudy (Normal Version)
It's the figure you really want but your wife or girlfriend won't let you have. I take a look at an earlier release based on Shunya Yamashita artwork, Funny Knight's Rudy. |
Review: Ame Comi Supergirl
Contrary to what everyone complains about, I don’t think that the new reimagined, designs for these characters is bad. I think the broad issues are actually with the quality and details of the figures themselves rather then with the original sculpt. |
Review: Catwoman
Personally, I dislike it when statues are crouched because they take up too much horizontal space-but it fits the personality of the character and it goes along well with the entourage of Kotobukiya’s other Batman character statues. |
Review: Supergirl
Where the Kotobukiya Superman statue perfectly captures the heroic alpha male aspects, the awesome sculpt of the Supergirl statue captures the sexy essence of this version of Supergirl. |
Review: Revoltech Yotsuba
Who is that little green haired girl that manages to sneak into the shots of the Japanese uber otaku reviews? Why, it’s none other than Yotsuba! |
Review: Busou Shinki MMS Type Naked (Black)
After getting the Waffebunny, I now decided that I needed to get another Busou Shinki figure so I could display both the Devil type and Rabbit type together. I didn't want to buy a whole new figure and luckily Konami has the answer. |
