		<title>Reycal Orichalcum</title>
		<link>http://anime.collectiondx.com/review/anime-figure/reycal-orichalcum</link>
		<description>
 So here we have a new figure in the Revoltech line, a female figure, sculpted by Yamaguchi. Between this and the queens blade line, I guess the Fraulein experiment is done.

 <label><p>Reycal Orichalcum is the main character in the Manga "Orichalcum Reycal" The manga has to do with a college kit named Sakugi Mitsuaki, who is into building models and sculpting garage kits.</p>
<p>Sample provided by our good friends at <a href="http://www.hlj.com/product/KYD010063">HobbyLink Japan</a>!</p>
<p>One day he gets special modeling clay, and sculpts this figure, which then comes to life as "Reycal Orichalcum"</p>
<p>And that's about all I know about that.</p>

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The good news is that its a pretty good figure, much better that those early Fraulein releases. These now have Revoltech joints in the knees, as opposed to the swivel joints.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Reycal/P9204207.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>There's nothing bad to say about the core figure - it's tight, the sculpt is good, and paint detail is nice. The design of the figure helps hide some of the flaws of the female Revoltech design, such as the skirt design hiding where the hips meet the legs.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Reycal/P9204205.jpg.html" >

<p>The hair is articulated, largely to make way for the armor.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Reycal/P9204206.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The armor included comes in a animal form, dubbed Knight Eagle. This eagle is Reycal Orichalcum's Armor Haul Partner. One cant help but notice the similarity to Bandai's Saint Cloth Myth figures. The Knight Eagle is flimsy, and barely holds together. You can attach it to the stand when not in use.</p>

    </a>

   </div>

<p>To be added to the figure, the Knight Eagle must be completely disassembled, and not all parts are used on the figure.</p>

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Reycal/P9214215.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Once the armor is on, as Knight Reycal, the figure looks great, and the armor is stable on the figure. I was surprised at the sharpness of the wings, and the dual fold-out action. A variant hair piece is included for the armored form. The only weakness was the chest V, which had a tendency to fall off if bumped.</p>

 It’s so rare for there to be figures based on 80’s anime. Noriko and the rest of the cast’s character designs were done by Haruhiko Mikimoto who is best known for doing the character designs for Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Super Dimensional Century Orguss and Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket. IMO, he is quite possibly one of the best character designers ever from the 1980’s era of anime production. The designs for Gunbuster were adapted for animation by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, who is one of the top character designers for the 90’s era of anime and did work for Nadia: The Secret of B

<p>Bome is a Japanese sculptor who is well known in the anime girl figure scene. Originally making garage kits, he now works with Kaiyodo who was then even given his own line called the “Monsieur Bome Collection” which includes figures from various anime, video games and even original characters. Vol.18 in the series is Noriko Takaya, the main heroine from the late 80’s OVA Aim For The Top! Gunbuster by the well known anime studio Gainax. On the back of the card (Bome’s figures come on cards and not boxes like other anime figurines) reads this blurb in English. </p>
<p>“It was over 10 years ago that I made the original model for the character Noriko Takaya. Back then OVAs (Original video animations) were bigger business than they are now, and among them, “GUNBUSTER” stood as a monumental work. Its SF world intensified as the story progressed. It overflowed with a pervasive “essence” of the otaku culture. More than anything, i think that the giant robot that the main character Noriko Takaya operates (“Gunbuster”) single-handedly brought back the “super robot” in a climate where realistic robot portrayals had become fashionable. Now as I hold the PVC figure sample in my hand, I realize that it was that special nature of the show that drove me to work with such personal motivation to make Noriko Takaya.”</p>

<p>Although no scale is given, I estimate that she is about 1/8 scale, basing it on other figures of similar size (and 1/8 scale is generally the standard scale of most anime figures). Bome did a great job capturing the look of the character who is looking confidant and ready for anything. One note of interest is that the “shine” on the hair is actually painted on (most figures do without that). Another interesting note is that hair band reaches all the done to the feet and is yellow instead of blue. I think this was based on the way she was drawn in the opening animation and first episode Oddly, the ribbons are made of hard plastic and not soft PVC as to keep its shape.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Bome/Noriko/BOME+Noriko03.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Everything else is spot on to the character design. The clothes she wears even have the same red and white top while the one piece swimsuit is of a maroon color. She comes with a simple black base with the title logo Aim For the Top! Gunbuster. I had to glue the clear piece of plastic that attaches to the base as it was too loose and made the figure fall over. Don’t worry, I’m still able to take the figure off from that clear piece.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Bome/Noriko/BOME+Noriko09.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>There have been several figures based on Noriko Takaya but this one is easily the most inexpensive for the nice quality you get and probably the easiest one to find out of them. If you’re a fan of Noriko, 80’s character designs, Bome’s work or even want a nice fixed posed figure for a great price I think it’s a no brainer that you should get this.</p>

 <label><p>Bome is a Japanese sculptor who is well known in the anime girl figure scene. Originally making garage kits, he now works with Kaiyodo who was then even given his own line called the “Monsieur Bome Collection” which includes figures from various anime, video games and even original characters. </p>

<p>Vol.25 in the series is Mitsumi Misato’s Lucia from “Positive Penguin Life”. On the back of the card (Bome’s figures come on cards and not boxes like other anime figurines) reads this blurb in English"</p>
<p>“My first encounter with Misato Mitsumi’s art was with her illustrations in a computer game. I remember being shocked, as the pictures had a level of expression that I had never seen before. The basic formula for computer game illustrations at the time was a simple one color rendering, but the technique of Ms. Mitsumi’s drawings was really gorgeous, and they stood out above the rest. After that, I learned that Ms. Mitsumi had published a dojinshi series, which I proceeded to fervently collect. The moment that I saw Lucia in “Positive Penguin Life,” I was overcome with a desire to make her into a model, and I remember going up to Ms. Mitsumi’s booth at the next Comic Market and asking her permission to create it. Even though I had no appointment, she happily obliged, and because of that I was able to release this figure in the Wonder Festival that same year. I am extremely happy that a item with such personal significance for me can be sold now as a completed PVC figure.”</p>

<p>Although no scale is given, I estimate that she is about 1/8 scale, basing it on other figures of similar size (and 1/8 scale is generally the standard scale of most anime figures). I just have to say, the amount of detail on this figure is staggering. You can just see the love and care that went into an item such as this. Take the hair for example. You can see how well the detail went with her bangs, sideburns and even the braid with a little red ribbon on it. What I love is the way how the jacket, shorts and boots are glossy while the rest of the figure is matte. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Bome/Lucia/BOME+Lucia10.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>The blade part of the figure is separate in the package with you have to attach. It definitely looks nice with hold holding it behind her. One of the main draws to this figure for me is the old school high fantasy look it has, which was indicative of the time it was originally design (not sure of the year, but I see the date 1997 for the doujinshi. I’d thought it’d be older actually). Even the cape on her is nicely detailed, with the folds as if the wind is blowing.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Bome/Lucia/BOME+Lucia08.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>The stand she comes with done well too. The ground has airbrushing with a few scattered rocks. Behind her are two rock formations which add a nice touch to the fantasy aspect of the figure.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Bome/Lucia/BOME+Lucia06.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>You know what the most surprising this about this figure is? The fact that it is SO cheap for the high quality of it. At NYCC, they were selling these for $20 (I got it and two others for $15 each). Even HLJ has these on sale for around the same price. For that price I really think you should get this if you like fantasy anime figures that have a great deal of detail and imagination. </p>

 The figure is Haruhi depicted from episode “Live Alive” in which during the school festival the singer/ guitarist having lost her voice when she was supposed to go on stage, Haruhi goes up instead while wearing a bunny suit (much to the shock of Kyon). From there, she sings “God Knows” which quickly impresses the crowd.

 <label><p>Hello fellow readers of Anime CollectionDX. This is this will be my first review for the site (I did a review of SOC SPEC L-Gaim on the regular CollectionDX site).</p>
<p>Haruhi Suzumiya is the first revoltech release by Kaiyodo from the hugely popular anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" (which was derived from novels and even had two different manga adaptations). Actually, the first Haruhi figure they did would be the one the Haruhi Suzumiya figure in winter school uniform but that was an exclusive that came with the Haruhi dancing game for the Nintendo Wii. This figure is under Kayodo’s Revoltech Fraulein (German for “young lady) line of articulated female character figures.</p>

<p>The figure stands at six inches (not including those rabbit ears). It is quite articulated using Revoltech joints in the shoulders, wrists, torso, head, hips and feet. The biceps, elbows, thighs and knees are standard hinged and swivel joints.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+10.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>She comes with a multitude of accessories. They include fourteen hands (yes, that many although one pair has their own hinged joints and doesn’t use the revoltech joint in the wrists), three faces (normal closed mouth, open mouth happy and close eyed open mouth as if she was singing loudly), an electric guitar, a sign for her “S.O.S. Dan” club and a stand.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+parts.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>To change the expression, you first have to removed both the back part of the hair and the bands. Then you have to actually pull out the entire head to change it with another. This proves to be a bit more troublesome as it also kinda dismantles the little Revoltech joint in the neck so I suggest you take it slow and hold that joint while you wiggle to pull off the head. I wouldn’t change heads often if I were you but I don’t think there’s a danger of breaking the joint as long as you’re careful.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+head+changing.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Articulation is quite good. She is able to bend in all the major joints. I wish the knees were able bend a little more (maybe in the future, the Fraulein line will have those double Revoltech joints like in the newer Evangelion figures I hope). Due to her lanky nature, the figure’s hips are kind of wobbly. The waist is very narrow. There’s two Revoltech joints there. One is on the upper part, the other is in the lower abdomen (but because the stomach is all one piece, you can’t separate that part).</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+09.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The stand it comes with well, it could have been better. It’s the type of stand that wraps around the waist. You have to have it high up on her torso to get a snug fit. I really wish that the stand had pegs (and peg holes for the feet). The regular Revoltech releases have this so why not the Fraulein? </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+03.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>I’m not entirely sure what the signs reads other than it being about the S.O.S Dan club (probably to have others in the school join it). It fits in the fists designed for it but what’s great is you can also fit a spare MSIA beam saber (I must have a hundred of these).</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+beam+saber.jpg.html" >

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The real draw, accessory wise, is the electric guitar. First take off the head to wrap the strap around her. Put in her right hand that has the guitar pick. The left should have the open hand designed to grasp the “neck” of the guitar.</p>
<p>Have her rocking out like crazy.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+rocking+out02.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Having open hands is great for making her hold other Revoltech (or any figures for that matter) accessories.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+06.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>If you’re wondering is this in scale with the figma Haruhi Suzumiya line the answer is no. The Fraulein is much bigger by about an inch. It’s up to you really which line you want to collect. Although the figma’s are tighter in their joints, I fear for the joints breaking if handled too rough. The Revoltech is sturdier and I don’t have to worry about the wrists breaking like on the figma (although if you make the hole a bit bigger on those, that isn’t much of an issue). Also pics I’ve seen of the figma’s shoulder joint breaking scare me, although thankfully that hasn’t happened to any of my figmas yet.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+vs+Unicron.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Overall I think that this is a nice figure. This is my first foray into the Fraulein line and it doesn’t disappoint even though it has a couple of flaws like the slight floppiness and that the stand should have had a foot peg.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+Daicon01.jpg.html" >

 <label><p>In the anime Gurren Lagann, Yoko provides the majority of the fan-service for the sex-starved otaku. Fortunately though she is more than a pretty face. Yoko is a kick-ass character in one of the best anime in recent years.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180475.jpg.html" >

<p>Yoko is a surface dweller in an age where most of humanity lives underground. She is a warrior first and foremost, using her skills as a sharpshooter to wield her rifle in combat against the beastmen. She befriends the Gurren Lagann Pilots Simon and Kamina in their fight for the control of the earth, and the universe...</p>
<p>And of course, they are all ga-ga over Yoko, and rightly so. She's got some dangerous curves. It is these curves that make her a fan-favorite in the world of anime figures, with dozens of releases bearing her likeness.</p>
<p>The Fraulein Revoltech is only one of two poseable figures of Yoko that has been released, the other being a sold-out Konami MMS figure.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.angolz.com/home/productDetails.aspx?PLU=0000106652">Revoltech Fraulein Yoko arrives courtesy of Angolz.com</a></p>
<p>Yoko is the tenth Fraulein figure release, and the toy shows serious improvements over earlier releases, but is still plagued with a few major flaws.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180463.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The figure stands about 6 inches tall and is very articulated, as is the case with all Revoltech. She comes packaged with a host of accessories including variant face, variant hair, several sets of hands, rifle and display stand.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180478.jpg.html" >

<p>The sculptor really captured the likeness of the character. With both faces you can switch from "peaceful happy Yoko" to "enraged in the heat of battle Yoko".</p>

<p>The swappable hair also gives you an option of displaying the figure with her glasses on. The hair has her signature skull hair clip, chopsticks holding the ponytail in, and an articulated ponytail with a Revoltech joint.</p>

<p>Shoulders are articulated with small Revoltech joints, and there are no issues with the arms coming off. Thee is also a split joint in the upper arm, and the elbows are articulated with a new style of joint called a "madora" joint (essentially a super-small cylindrical revolver joint.</p>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The hips are Revoltech joints, but the knees are plain swivel joints, and on this figure they are VERY loose and floppy. It's a pain to get Yoko to stand still. The included display stand helps but the stand is a little tall for the figure.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

<p>Yoko's signature weapon is her large high caliber sniper rifle. This gun is about 6 inches long and includes swappable stand parts and a shoulder strap. The strap does stretch, but too much pulls the end out of the gun barrel and will need to be repaired.</p>

</div><div class="flexinode-textarea-6"><div class="form-item">
 <label><p>At this point I think most of our readers know what to expect from a Revoltech figure; above average sculpting, high level of poseability, and a decent price point. There good, cheap, robot lovin’ fun. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin02.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402843-4/rin02.jpg" width="640" height="480" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin02" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>But Kaiyodo was not content to keep it to just robots and has launched the Fraulein line to encompass popular female anime characters. Josh has just recently reviewed their other offerings from this line, <a href=http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2301>Asuka</a> and <a href=http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2302>Rei</a> from Evangelion. Since I’m not much of a fan of the series I passed on those but decided to give Rin Tohsaka from the animated series “Fate/stay night” a try.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin09.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402850-4/rin09.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin09" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>From the package: </p>
<p>Fraulein Revoltech is an exciting new series of female action figures. It consists of new idea of figure system called “E.L.F.” producing beautiful body lines and motion as natural as real lives.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin00.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402841-4/rin00.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin00" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So basically no matter how sophisticated the packaging is and no matter how high profile the line is, it’s a series of “girly” figures. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin01.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402842-4/rin01.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin01" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>This girly figure is Rin Tohsaka from the series Fate/stay night. Now I only recently watched a handful of episodes of the series so I can’t speak too much to it but essentially it centers on the coming “Holy Grail War” and the Magi involved in finding the Grail and winning the war. Each Mage conjures a servant to fight for them. Rin is not only a high school student but apparently a very powerful Mage.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin13.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402854-4/rin13.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin13" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So with all that said, “How’s the figure?” Not bad. It’s very poseable with an excellent level of detail; I do find it odd that for all its poseability you can’t get the figure to go into a sitting position. Other than that, the sky is the limit as far as poses go. Her pigtails even have Revoltech joints in them.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin08.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402851-4/rin10.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin10" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div><br />
<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin17.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402858-4/rin17.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin17" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div><br />
<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin03.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402844-4/rin03.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin03" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Since Rin is primarily a spell caster she doesn’t have a ton of accessories. The figure comes with a fantastic stand to pose the character flying/midair (which she does quite often in the first few episodes I saw), a sword and some alternate hands.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin12.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402853-4/rin12.jpg" width="640" height="480" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin12" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Overall it’s more Revoltech goodness with no real surprises or disappointments for collectors of the line. With that said, I really don’t think this is a figure for non-Fate fans because as a “girly” figure (yes you can look up her skirt, yes she has panties on…) it’s pretty tame for those that collect those things and obviously Rin doesn’t transform into a giant robot or a jet I think it’s a pass for most Revoltech collectors. Fate fan’s however can and should buy Rin with confidence.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin16.jpg.html" >

 One of the newest releases from the Revoltech Fraulein line; Pocco has a real nice set of perky, full, well-displayed … wings. This character design could be considered borderline PG/PG-13 by some folk’s standards and the photos in this review reflect that. Think twice before clicking if you’re a cupcake. You have been warned …

 <label><p><a href=http://www.angolz.com/home/storebrowse.aspx>Angolz.com</a> was nice enough to send release number 004 for me to review and while I really like it, it is not without some issues. To be fair Revoltech’s are massed produced so I may have just gotten the”luck of the draw” and gotten a bum one but more on that a little further into the article.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Pocco is not an anime character but a character that appears in and on the cover of <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shunya_Yamashita> Shunya Yamashita’s </a> artbook Sweet Dreams. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

</div></p>
<p>From <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shunya_Yamashita> Wikipedia  </a>:</p>
<p>“Shunya worked at Square Enix as a character designer for Final Fantasy X as an NPC and weapons designer. He later worked as a character designer on the online game Depth Fantasia, and was an event illustrator for the game Phantom Kingdom. He also worked on the other titles such as Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria and Xanadu: Next. He is also working with various toy companies to release a line-up of PVC figures, garage kits and statues based on his character designs.”</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco21.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>What this release does do well is bring to life his illustration of the character to three dimensions very nicely. The sculpting and detail as well as the paint application are all excellent. They omitted the scarf on her left hip in the illustration in this sculpt however and I would have liked to have seen that included in its design.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

</div></p>
<p>Accessories are a bit light this time for a Revoltech release including only the Fraulein stand and 2 sets of alternate hands. I would have liked the “cat” in the illustration to be included.</p>

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco06.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409577-4/pocco06.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco06" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>I really like this character design and have always liked that sort of “naughty” angel motif. While she is scantly clad and overtly sexy it still falls into that realm of “cute” sexy not “fetishized (is that a word?) Perversion” and anything inappropriate is more than adequately covered. She’s sexy, got wings, is fantasy and post-apocalyptic and well- pulls of the “naughty” and “nice” thing pretty well.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco16.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409587-4/pocco16.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco16" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So with the good out of the way, let’s dive into the bad. My Pocco has horrible joint issues, her arms are fairly loose at the shoulders and her right leg keeps falling off. Granted you can pop them back on but it’s still annoying as hell. This would have been a flawless addition to my collection and a real win for the money but those two problems really suck out the joy of posing the figure.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco17.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So while I can say it’s a nice design and features a good sculpt, the QC on mine makes me hesitate to say go grab one today. Should you still want to add Pocco to your collection you can get yours at <a href=http://www.angolz.com/home/storebrowse.aspx>Angolz.com</a>. </p>

<p>Who does not know Chun-Li? I've been battling her in some form or another since 1991. In a sense, she is my nemesis...</p>

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Anyway, this version of Chun-Li comes from the Street Fighter Online Mouse Generation video game. This on-line fighting game is all in Japanese, and requires just a mouse to play. The general consensus is that the game sucks.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Chun-Li/PC049874.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>This figure though, does not suck. It's actually pretty cool, in my opinion. Sure, she does not come with many accessories, but she just looks great.</p>
<p>Sculpted by Bome and Taichi Katoh, Bome being a name that should be recognizable to figure fans. The character retains her traditional Street Fighter looks, but her appearance is altered to represent her look in the game, which is played with actual on-screen Revoltech figures.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Chun-Li/PC049879.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Accessories include variant hands, a stand, and a fireball attack that attaches to the palms of the open hands.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Chun-Li/PC049875.jpg.html" >
