		<title>Anime.CollectionDX - Action Figure</title>
		<link>http://anime.collectiondx.com/taxonomy/term/451/0</link>
		<description>CollectionDX defines an action figure as a toy based on a character that was designed for action posing. A robot that does not transform, but does pose (has moveable joints) would fall under this category.</description>

<p><a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakugan_no_Shana>Shakugan no Shana</a> started as a series of light novels released in Japan in November 2002, the manga series was created in February 2005 (again in Japan). The Anime version was adapted and aired in Japan between October 2005 and March 2006. A second anime series was aired in Japan in October 2007, titled Shakugan no Shana Second. Viz Media released the English translations of both the light novels and the manga series beginning in April 2007. Geneon Entertainment licensed the American anime tv series and released the first DVD in September 2006. They then withdrew from the American market, causing the DVDs to go out of print. Genon signed an agreement with with Funimation Entertainment in July 2008 to distribute select titles in North America. This series also boasts; two video games (one ps2 and one DS,) an OVA, an animated film and action figures. </p>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Shana is the flame haze contracted by Alastor (a Crimson Lord) to hunt down the crimson denizens (bad guys) abusing their power and causing the world to distort. This no nonsense tough girl calls it like she sees it without pulling her punches for anyone. She has a habit of saying "Urusai! Urusai! Urusai!"to Yuji (translates "shut up! shut up! shut up!") because he often says things that challenge her view and perspective. Her only softness lies in her love for melon bread and a fondness for Yuji.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA11.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>In an effort to humanize her, Shana is given her name by Yuji Sakai (the main character of the series) when he discovers she doesn't really have a name but is differentiated from the other flame haze by being called "Nietono no Shana" (the name of the longsword she carries.) The sword she received in her first battle as a flame haze against a mistes named Tenmoku Ikko.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Shana was orphaned as an infant and adopted on a whim by Wilhelmina (another flame haze) and Alastor. Raised in a Tendou-kyu (road to heavenly place) she was trained to fight by Shiro (skeleton dude who has history with Alastor's previous flame haze. She extracts three promises from him after defeating him in battle.) <b>[This story is told in anime season one in episode fourteen through episode sixteen.]</b></p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA26.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Shana does not leave the Tendou-kyu, but whenever Wilhelmina goes out she brings back a package of melon bread for Shana as a treat. She has become quite the connoisseur of melon bread and is often critical of improper handling (whether in the baking or consumption.) When it comes to teachers she has no problem speaking her mind or standing up for herself. </p>

    </a>

   </div>
</div></div>
</p>
<p>The package is a basic shadow box showing - figure, alternate expression, melon bread, Nintono No Shana, one of the alternate pairs of hands and the arm of the stand. The front and four sides have a shower of sparks in the background similar to Shana's aura.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA05.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462256-4/figmaSHANA05.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA05" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The more I play with her, the deeper I fall in love. For best results when posing her, use the little piece that attaches to the arm of the stand that looks like a shaving cream can with a long nozzle. It allows the arm to fit under her hair. If you then position the arm directly behind her and a smidgen to the left (from the front) you will find that the arm slides conveniently between two sections of hair (this is important, if you don't want her to be looking down all the time.) </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA24.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462291-4/figmaSHANA24.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA24" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>True to life, (I know from personal experience) Shana's long hair is beautiful, elegant, and a total pain in the butt. Even with the articulation on the sides (yes you can pose her hair too!!! ) it never seems to do what you want or stay where you put it and it seems to get stuck on everything form her sword to the arm of the stand. However it adds such life and realism to the figure that I wouldn't change it, just be prepared to be frustrated (and watch your fingers, her luscious locks are sharp.) </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA09.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462260-4/figmaSHANA09.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA09" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>What I really like about this version of Shana, is that she is done to scale. Her sword is "As long as the girl was tall." Also she is small and young in appearance "couldn't have been more than eleven or twelve years old." <b>[The Girl With Fire in Her Eyes, pg.23] </b></p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA18.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462269-4/figmaSHANA18.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA18" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>But that's only the tip of the ice burg. This Shana comes with six pairs of hands to help you capture every possible pose form the anime or manga imaginable. There is one set of open hands with fingers together (great for holding yummy melon bread!), one set of open hands with fingers splayed, one set of closed fists, and two sets for holding her sword.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA17.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462268-4/figmaSHANA17.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA17" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>*** check carefully, one of the sword holding sets of hands has a bigger more oval hole in the back (by the pinkie finger) than the front (by the thumb) this set is for holding her sword backwards, if you try to insert the sword from the front, it won't work. This set is the one visible in packaging but not attached to the figure. This is not made obvious as there is no pictures on the package with her actually holding the sword backwards, but trust me, it works. *** </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA14.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462265-4/figmaSHANA14.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA14" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>This pair is the most critical for getting poses that look like she just popped off a page of the manga, as Shana usually holds her sword behind her in either a high crossed forward, or a straight arm reversed grip. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA15.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462266-4/figmaSHANA15.jpg" width="640" height="480" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA15" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>OK, you had to know this was coming and it has to be said, I don't like the fact that they left out her coat. "On her shoulders hung a weathered black cloak still fluttering in the wind from her recent attack." <b>[The Girl With Fire in Her Eyes page 21.]</b> Shana is rarely seen fighting without her cloak on, it's her magical weapon closet so to speak. Shana receives her cloak from Alistor (made from a piece of his wing) right after she becomes a flame haze and just before she wins her sword from her first fights as a flame haze. [Episode Sixteen of the first season of the anime.]</b> Somehow without the cloak she is less "bad ass", more "Hey, look at the cute girl in the school uniform - sweet panty peek!" </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA16.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/462267-4/figmaSHANA16.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="figmaSHANA16" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Having said that, They did include the melon bread.(although she has brown hair whenever eating melon bread) And she doesn't eat melon bread while wearing her cloak, so it does make a weird form of sense. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/MaxFactory/Figma/shakugannoshana/figmaSHANA10.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>I think this is a great figure. It is highly poseable, easy to play with (almost Siren proof!), and true to the character. As a visual representation of the series it is a stunning piece.</p>

 <label><p>For every good robot there is always and evil double. In KOS-MOS's case, she has the tenacious T-ELOS to contend with. T-ELOS is everything KOS-MOS is not. She's darkly colored, mean spirited, and more "provocatively" dressed. In Xenosaga III, T-ELOS proves to be more than a match for KOS-MOS ver. 3. T-ELOS also appears in Super Robot Wars: Endless Frontier as KOS-MOS's eternal rival.</p>

<p>Much like with the Motion Revive KOS-MOS, the T-ELOS figure is her first action figure. If it wasn't for the fact that KOS-MOS and T-ELOS must be bought together in order to give each a complete set of accessories, I might have passed on this toy. However since owning her I have warmed up to her design. Does it fare any better than the KOS-MOS figure? Let's find out.</p>

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>In terms of design, T-ELOS is much more barebones in terms of her costume. She is roughly the same size as KOS-MOS and may be considered a roughly 1/18th scale figure. She features the same 23 points of articulation as KOS-MOS, which include double-jointed elbows, swivel biceps, swivel wrists, swivel waist, knees, ball-jointed ankles, a ball-jointed neck, and hinged hair. She is difficult to balance without her stand. Because she has no skirt and fewer pointy bits, T-ELOS has a greater range of motion. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/T-ELOS/telos2.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472682-4/telos2.jpg" width="322" height="598" class="giThumbnail" alt="T-ELOS back." longdesc="T-ELOS back."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>From the rear we can see some of the key differenes between KOS-MOS and T-ELOS. A few notable differenes include that large pod on her thigh and a PVC strap running between her legs all Iori Yagami style. She also has a screw hole on the small of her back and another one right between her shoulder blades. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/T-ELOS/telos3.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472683-4/telos3.jpg" width="411" height="607" class="giThumbnail" alt="T-ELOS on her stand." longdesc="T-ELOS on her stand."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Both screw holes can be used to attach the stand and the lower mounting point allows for a greater range of poses on the stand when compared to KOS-MOS since T-ELOS's hair is less likely to interfere. She is a bit less bulky than KOS-MOS and won't topple over as much.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/T-ELOS/telos4.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>T-ELOS comes with her Magdalene-16 handgun which can be held in either of her open palm hands. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/T-ELOS/telos5.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472685-4/telos5.jpg" width="486" height="379" class="giThumbnail" alt="T-ELOS with her beam knuckle. " longdesc="T-ELOS with her beam knuckle. "/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div> </p>
<p>Also included is a set of accessories for her beam knucklebuster. This includes a hand and replacement gauntlet as well as the beam burst itself. The extra white paint around the edges of the beam complete the effect rather nicely. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/T-ELOS/telos6.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472686-4/telos6.jpg" width="492" height="454" class="giThumbnail" alt="T-ELOS with twin Gatling cannons." longdesc="T-ELOS with twin Gatling cannons."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>T-ELOS comes with two Gatling guns and a pair of hands to hold them. These are identical to the ones included with KOS-MOS and may be used by either figure. They are somewhat bland but functional accessories. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/T-ELOS/telos7.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472687-4/telos7.jpg" width="540" height="483" class="giThumbnail" alt="T-ELOS with chest open." longdesc="T-ELOS with chest open."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>And lastly if you have the KOS-MOS figure, you will have the parts for T-ELOS's Phase Transfer Cannon (haha I remembered the name). Her design has no elaborate spires around her chest which leaves less room for PVC bendy-ness to ruin the overall effect. Despite still having an oversized blade sticking out of her chest, T-ELOS pulls off this attack with a bit more "dignity" that KOS-MOS.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/T-ELOS/telos8.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472688-4/telos8.jpg" width="476" height="471" class="giThumbnail" alt="T-ELOS and KOS-MOS." longdesc="T-ELOS and KOS-MOS."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div> </p>
<p>Overall I feel that T-ELOS is a much better figure than KOS-MOS, although that really isn't saying much. Both are terribly overpriced and it is essential that you get both. Fortunately they have begun to drop in price. As I said in my KOS-MOS review, these figures feel like high quality prize game toys or cheap action figures at best. Still, they're not awful just mediocre. I can still hope for a Figma, can't I?</p>

 <label><p>KOS-MOS is the enigmatic android war machine from the Playstation 2 RPG series Xenosaga. Her name is an odd recursive acronym meaning "KOS-MOS Obey Strategic Operation System" while her form of a busty young woman in high heels harkens back to the days when the Knight Sabers ran around in the similarly styled Hard Suits. KOS-MOS is arguably more popular than the game she comes from and has made a recent appearance in Super Robot Wars: Endless Frontier as a playable character. Her most notable features include long blue hair, red eyes, a vast array of weapons and an "interesting" relationship with her creator Shion Uzuki. Just ask the fans and they will tell you. </p>

<p>Bandai's Motion Revive Series kicked off the the release of a KOS-MOS figure in her version 4 form. This is the final version of KOS-MOS and is by far my favorite incarnation. This is in fact that first action figure of KOS-MOS in any incarnation. So how does this do as the first action figure? Let's find out.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos1.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472274-1/kosmos1.jpg" width="326" height="589" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS front." longdesc="KOS-MOS front."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>KOS-MOS is a fairly small figure. Easily at home with G.I. Joes or any similarly sized action figure. The paint work is adequate with the crispest details being her eyes. She is difficult to balance without her stand (you would be too with those heels). The box boasts that this figure has 23 points of articulation. These include double jointed elbows, knees, ball jointed ankles, swivels in the upper arms and wrists, and a ball jointed neck. The joints themselves feel cheap. Lots of flesh color pegs are apparent in the arms and legs. It all adds up to a very average figure.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos2.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472279-1/kosmos2.jpg" width="335" height="613" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS back." longdesc="KOS-MOS back."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>From the back we can see the soft details of her hair. The hair itself is hinged to allow for some flexibility in posing. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos3.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472282-1/kosmos3.jpg" width="410" height="591" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS on stand front." longdesc="KOS-MOS on stand front."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>KOS-MOS's stand plugs into a screw hole in her back. It is a simple stand with only one main joint which attaches to the hexagonal base via a ball joint. She really can't be posed too far off center without tipping over so she is limited to generic fly poses. This is a far cry from the crazy maneuvers she does in the game.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos4.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472285-1/kosmos4.jpg" width="419" height="623" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS on stand back." longdesc="KOS-MOS on stand back."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Here you can see where the stand plugs in. Unfortunately the combination of the stand and KOS-MOS's hair makes posing her difficult. Also I found that KOS-MOS's head isn't terribly secure on its ball joint.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos5.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472288-1/kosmos5.jpg" width="498" height="486" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS with handgun. " longdesc="KOS-MOS with handgun. "/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p><i> can has handgun?</i></p>
<p>KOS-MOS comes with a magnum sized handgun. In theory the gun is to be held by one of her open palmed hands by jamming it between her thumb and forefinger. It really doesn't fit that well.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos6.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472291-1/kosmos6.jpg" width="435" height="597" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS with hand vulcan gun. " longdesc="KOS-MOS with hand vulcan gun. "/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>KOS-MOS also comes with one of her signature triple Gatling guns. She comes with a pair of gun holding hands. To use the gun, the handle must be removed and the hand threaded around the handle before it is reattached. The gun itself is kind of heavy for the figure to hold. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos7.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472294-1/kosmos7.jpg" width="426" height="582" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS with Dragon Tooth." longdesc="KOS-MOS with Dragon Tooth."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>KOS-MOS also comes with her Dragon Tooth energy weapon. The top part of the weapon is removable so that a hand may be fitted so KOS-MOS can wield the weapon. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos8.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472297-1/kosmos8.jpg" width="482" height="457" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS with open Dragon Tooth." longdesc="KOS-MOS with open Dragon Tooth."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>By swinging out the bottom portion of the Dragon Tooth you may then attach a energy blade. The blade itself is molded in flesh colored plastic and is painted light blue. Other than making the weapon look more complete, the cheapness of this accessory leaves one wanting for a proper clear blade.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos9.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472300-1/kosmos9.jpg" width="433" height="587" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS with chest open. " longdesc="KOS-MOS with chest open. "/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Before you continue I must point out that this accessory does not come with KOS-MOS and is instead included with the T-ELOS figure in the same line. Bandai decided to swap the optional chest parts of each figure in order to force you to buy both.</p>
<p>For the life of me I cannot actually remember the name of this attack. Really it should be called "cleavage buster" since the attack consists of a small blade (which is comically over-sized on this toy) flipping out from her sternum and cutting open her top while the little gold bits around her chest flare out. From there a sparkling energy ball flies out at her target. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Bandai/Motion_Revive_Series/KOS-MOS/kosmos10.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/472303-1/kosmos10.jpg" width="543" height="470" class="giThumbnail" alt="KOS-MOS with chest open close-up." longdesc="KOS-MOS with chest open close-up."/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The overall effect is very lackluster on this figure. The gold spires around her chest are made of PVC and as such are totally bent out of shape while the miscolored knife looks really out of place.</p>
<p>For the first action figure of KOS-MOS the Motion Revive Series toy is very lackluster. It feels like a cheap prize toy yet the original MSRP is 1500 yen! Most stores have heavily discounted both KOS-MOS and T-ELOS. Get one if you are really desperate for a KOS-MOS action figure, but honestly this toy only makes me wish someone would do a proper Figma or Figuarts of KOS-MOS. </p>

 <label><p>Hello fellow readers of Anime CollectionDX. This is this will be my first review for the site (I did a review of SOC SPEC L-Gaim on the regular CollectionDX site).</p>
<p>Haruhi Suzumiya is the first revoltech release by Kaiyodo from the hugely popular anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" (which was derived from novels and even had two different manga adaptations). Actually, the first Haruhi figure they did would be the one the Haruhi Suzumiya figure in winter school uniform but that was an exclusive that came with the Haruhi dancing game for the Nintendo Wii. This figure is under Kayodo’s Revoltech Fraulein (German for “young lady) line of articulated female character figures.</p>

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+10.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>She comes with a multitude of accessories. They include fourteen hands (yes, that many although one pair has their own hinged joints and doesn’t use the revoltech joint in the wrists), three faces (normal closed mouth, open mouth happy and close eyed open mouth as if she was singing loudly), an electric guitar, a sign for her “S.O.S. Dan” club and a stand.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+parts.jpg.html" >

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>To change the expression, you first have to removed both the back part of the hair and the bands. Then you have to actually pull out the entire head to change it with another. This proves to be a bit more troublesome as it also kinda dismantles the little Revoltech joint in the neck so I suggest you take it slow and hold that joint while you wiggle to pull off the head. I wouldn’t change heads often if I were you but I don’t think there’s a danger of breaking the joint as long as you’re careful.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+head+changing.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Articulation is quite good. She is able to bend in all the major joints. I wish the knees were able bend a little more (maybe in the future, the Fraulein line will have those double Revoltech joints like in the newer Evangelion figures I hope). Due to her lanky nature, the figure’s hips are kind of wobbly. The waist is very narrow. There’s two Revoltech joints there. One is on the upper part, the other is in the lower abdomen (but because the stomach is all one piece, you can’t separate that part).</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+09.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The stand it comes with well, it could have been better. It’s the type of stand that wraps around the waist. You have to have it high up on her torso to get a snug fit. I really wish that the stand had pegs (and peg holes for the feet). The regular Revoltech releases have this so why not the Fraulein? </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+03.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>I’m not entirely sure what the signs reads other than it being about the S.O.S Dan club (probably to have others in the school join it). It fits in the fists designed for it but what’s great is you can also fit a spare MSIA beam saber (I must have a hundred of these).</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+beam+saber.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The real draw, accessory wise, is the electric guitar. First take off the head to wrap the strap around her. Put in her right hand that has the guitar pick. The left should have the open hand designed to grasp the “neck” of the guitar.</p>
<p>Have her rocking out like crazy.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+rocking+out02.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Having open hands is great for making her hold other Revoltech (or any figures for that matter) accessories.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+06.jpg.html" >

<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>If you’re wondering is this in scale with the figma Haruhi Suzumiya line the answer is no. The Fraulein is much bigger by about an inch. It’s up to you really which line you want to collect. Although the figma’s are tighter in their joints, I fear for the joints breaking if handled too rough. The Revoltech is sturdier and I don’t have to worry about the wrists breaking like on the figma (although if you make the hole a bit bigger on those, that isn’t much of an issue). Also pics I’ve seen of the figma’s shoulder joint breaking scare me, although thankfully that hasn’t happened to any of my figmas yet.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+vs+Unicron.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Overall I think that this is a nice figure. This is my first foray into the Fraulein line and it doesn’t disappoint even though it has a couple of flaws like the slight floppiness and that the stand should have had a foot peg.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Haruhi/Haruhi+revoltech+Daicon01.jpg.html" >

 <label><p>Hi, my name is Siren, and I am completely new to this review thing so please bear with me. I am a friend of Atom's and I wanted to prove that there are girls that like this stuff too! I don't consider myself to be an anime buff, but I do have a good sized collection. My sister gifts me with 30 disks of anime from her library every year for x-mas (not that I'm complaining :D) I hope you enjoy reading my review, feedback is appreciated.</p>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Today we are looking at Shana Enpatsu from the manga turned anime <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakugan_no_Shana>Shakugan no Shana</a> and a newer release in the Nendoroid line of super deformed figures by Good Smile. Shana (but sadly no melon bread) came courtesy of <a href=http://safe.anime-export.com/u_home.php>Anime-Export</a>.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered06.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The story follows a high school boy named Yuji Sakai as he gets pulled into the ongoing battle between light and dark (order and chaos, good and bad, you get the idea…) as he discovers he carries a secret and a unique “tool” within him that can tip the balance of things.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered04.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Thus enters a ” Flame Haze” that he takes to calling Shana (Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter) a warrior for the “balancing force” who takes to watching over and protecting Yuji with her katana. Shana is a no-nonsense girl who takes her role as a Flame Haze very seriously. As the series goes on she becomes close to Yugi despite the fact she is constantly yelling at him to shut up, even showing a goofy side when it comes to her love of melon bread.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered00.jpg.html" >

<p>Packaging is a basic shadowbox style with windows on the front and each side showing the figure, accessories and alternate arms. Pictures of the alternate pieces on the figure are displayed on the sides and back of packaging.</p>

</div></p>
<p>Articulation is limited to the neck, shoulders, waist and legs. Her coat severely limits movement in the shoulders, so when using the alternate arms you may want to take it off for better placement.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered11.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The stand provided holds Shana securely enough to display just about anywhere. My favorite spot for her is on my desk with her angry face on, hand pointing accusingly with <b>Nietono no Shana</b> raised to strike (coat off of course.)</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered13.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Shana is my first piece and my biggest impression so far is… wow I suck at this! I've never had a poseable figure before, and I've gotta say the temptation is always there to toy with it. For example, when I try to make a minor change and say… switch an arm. The head pops off! I get a little frustrated.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered10.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p> Although it’s not “clutz” proof, the figure is durable. It has withstood my bumbling dismemberments with resilience and grace (totally accidental, I swear!) You might be amazed at how many separate pieces this figure has for something so simplistic (and cute.)</p>

<p>The paint is well done with a few minor imperfections that are not apparent unless you are searching for them. However, with play, the paint seems to transfer from the coat to her hair and from the coat to her shirt. The first is not something you'll notice unless you're changing parts, the second stands out like a sore thumb.</p>

<p>I think this is a great starter piece (I may be biased), and a fun "just because" collectible for any fan of the series. The alternate expressions do much to capture the essence of the character and could only succeed more if they had included a face with the soft big eyes (or eyes closed in bliss and mouth full) and melon bread half eaten, held in her hands. You can get Shana at <a href=http://safe.anime-export.com/u_home.php>Anime-Export</a>.</p>

 <label><p>Len Kagamine is the companion release to Rin Kagamine for the Nendoroid line (Super Deformed style) by Good Smile. Who's Len Kagamine? Why he's the mirror image of Rin Kagamine. Rin/Len Kagamine is a character used in the Character Vocal series software program. I got my Len from <a href=http://safe.anime-export.com/u_productpage.php?section=Figures&amp;Prodotti_id=4397>AnimeExport</a>. Thanks guys.</p>
<p>From<a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocaloid#Kagamine_Rin_and_Len> Wikipedia </a>:</p>
<p>"The Character Vocal Series is a computer music program that synthesizes singing in Japanese. Developed by Crypton Future Media, it utilizes Yamaha's Vocaloid2 technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics. A piano roll type interface is used to input the melody and the lyrics can be entered on each note. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. "</p>
<p>"Each Japanese Vocaloid is given an anime-type character with specifications on age, height, weight, and musical forte (as in the type of music, range and tempo). The characters of the first two installments of the series are created by illustrator Kei."</p>
<p>"Released on December 27, 2007, Kagamine Rin/Len is the second installment of the Vocaloid2 Character Vocal Series. Their family name was chosen by combining Kagami (Mirror), Ne (Sound), with the first syllables of their given names a pun on "Left" and "Right". They are not actually brother and sister, but are reflections of a mirror. According to Vocaloid's official blog, the package includes two voice banks: one for Rin and another for Len, both provided by the voice actor Asami Shimoda. Despite the double voice banks, the package still sells at the same price as Hatsune Miku. Their only cameo appearance in an anime is in (Zoku) Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei, where the two and Miku (and various other people and characters) try out to be the voice of Meru Otonashi."</p>

<p>Like his mirror image counterpart, Rin it is a cute figure that is fairly well made but I personally do not care for the part swapping, especially for such a simple character design. However if you like the cutesy, super-deformed style of the Nendoroid line and they have a character that you like they are worth a look.</p>

<p>Overall it's a cute figure that fairly well made but I personally do not care for the part swapping, especially for such a simple character design. However if you like the cutesy, super-deformed style of the Nendoroid line and they have a character that you like they are worth a look. </p>

 <label><p>In the anime Gurren Lagann, Yoko provides the majority of the fan-service for the sex-starved otaku. Fortunately though she is more than a pretty face. Yoko is a kick-ass character in one of the best anime in recent years.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180475.jpg.html" >

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Yoko is a surface dweller in an age where most of humanity lives underground. She is a warrior first and foremost, using her skills as a sharpshooter to wield her rifle in combat against the beastmen. She befriends the Gurren Lagann Pilots Simon and Kamina in their fight for the control of the earth, and the universe...</p>
<p>And of course, they are all ga-ga over Yoko, and rightly so. She's got some dangerous curves. It is these curves that make her a fan-favorite in the world of anime figures, with dozens of releases bearing her likeness.</p>
<p>The Fraulein Revoltech is only one of two poseable figures of Yoko that has been released, the other being a sold-out Konami MMS figure.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.angolz.com/home/productDetails.aspx?PLU=0000106652">Revoltech Fraulein Yoko arrives courtesy of Angolz.com</a></p>
<p>Yoko is the tenth Fraulein figure release, and the toy shows serious improvements over earlier releases, but is still plagued with a few major flaws.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180463.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The figure stands about 6 inches tall and is very articulated, as is the case with all Revoltech. She comes packaged with a host of accessories including variant face, variant hair, several sets of hands, rifle and display stand.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180478.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>The sculptor really captured the likeness of the character. With both faces you can switch from "peaceful happy Yoko" to "enraged in the heat of battle Yoko".</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180471.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The swappable hair also gives you an option of displaying the figure with her glasses on. The hair has her signature skull hair clip, chopsticks holding the ponytail in, and an articulated ponytail with a Revoltech joint.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180466.jpg.html" >

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Shoulders are articulated with small Revoltech joints, and there are no issues with the arms coming off. Thee is also a split joint in the upper arm, and the elbows are articulated with a new style of joint called a "madora" joint (essentially a super-small cylindrical revolver joint.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180477.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The hips are Revoltech joints, but the knees are plain swivel joints, and on this figure they are VERY loose and floppy. It's a pain to get Yoko to stand still. The included display stand helps but the stand is a little tall for the figure.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Yoko/P1180484.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Yoko's signature weapon is her large high caliber sniper rifle. This gun is about 6 inches long and includes swappable stand parts and a shoulder strap. The strap does stretch, but too much pulls the end out of the gun barrel and will need to be repaired.</p>

<p>But Kaiyodo was not content to keep it to just robots and has launched the Fraulein line to encompass popular female anime characters. Josh has just recently reviewed their other offerings from this line, <a href=http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2301>Asuka</a> and <a href=http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2302>Rei</a> from Evangelion. Since I’m not much of a fan of the series I passed on those but decided to give Rin Tohsaka from the animated series “Fate/stay night” a try.</p>

</div></p>
<p>From the package: </p>
<p>Fraulein Revoltech is an exciting new series of female action figures. It consists of new idea of figure system called “E.L.F.” producing beautiful body lines and motion as natural as real lives.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin00.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402841-4/rin00.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin00" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So basically no matter how sophisticated the packaging is and no matter how high profile the line is, it’s a series of “girly” figures. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin01.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402842-4/rin01.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin01" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>This girly figure is Rin Tohsaka from the series Fate/stay night. Now I only recently watched a handful of episodes of the series so I can’t speak too much to it but essentially it centers on the coming “Holy Grail War” and the Magi involved in finding the Grail and winning the war. Each Mage conjures a servant to fight for them. Rin is not only a high school student but apparently a very powerful Mage.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin13.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402854-4/rin13.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin13" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So with all that said, “How’s the figure?” Not bad. It’s very poseable with an excellent level of detail; I do find it odd that for all its poseability you can’t get the figure to go into a sitting position. Other than that, the sky is the limit as far as poses go. Her pigtails even have Revoltech joints in them.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin08.jpg.html" >

</div><br />
<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402851-4/rin10.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin10" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div><br />
<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin17.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402858-4/rin17.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin17" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div><br />
<div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin03.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402844-4/rin03.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin03" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Since Rin is primarily a spell caster she doesn’t have a ton of accessories. The figure comes with a fantastic stand to pose the character flying/midair (which she does quite often in the first few episodes I saw), a sword and some alternate hands.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin12.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/402853-4/rin12.jpg" width="640" height="480" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin12" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Overall it’s more Revoltech goodness with no real surprises or disappointments for collectors of the line. With that said, I really don’t think this is a figure for non-Fate fans because as a “girly” figure (yes you can look up her skirt, yes she has panties on…) it’s pretty tame for those that collect those things and obviously Rin doesn’t transform into a giant robot or a jet I think it’s a pass for most Revoltech collectors. Fate fan’s however can and should buy Rin with confidence.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/TohsakaRin/rin16.jpg.html" >

 One of the newest releases from the Revoltech Fraulein line; Pocco has a real nice set of perky, full, well-displayed … wings. This character design could be considered borderline PG/PG-13 by some folk’s standards and the photos in this review reflect that. Think twice before clicking if you’re a cupcake. You have been warned …

 <label><p><a href=http://www.angolz.com/home/storebrowse.aspx>Angolz.com</a> was nice enough to send release number 004 for me to review and while I really like it, it is not without some issues. To be fair Revoltech’s are massed produced so I may have just gotten the”luck of the draw” and gotten a bum one but more on that a little further into the article.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco10.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409581-4/pocco10.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco10" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Pocco is not an anime character but a character that appears in and on the cover of <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shunya_Yamashita> Shunya Yamashita’s </a> artbook Sweet Dreams. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco14.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409585-4/pocco14.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco14" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>From <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shunya_Yamashita> Wikipedia  </a>:</p>
<p>“Shunya worked at Square Enix as a character designer for Final Fantasy X as an NPC and weapons designer. He later worked as a character designer on the online game Depth Fantasia, and was an event illustrator for the game Phantom Kingdom. He also worked on the other titles such as Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria and Xanadu: Next. He is also working with various toy companies to release a line-up of PVC figures, garage kits and statues based on his character designs.”</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco21.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409596-4/pocco21.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco21" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>What this release does do well is bring to life his illustration of the character to three dimensions very nicely. The sculpting and detail as well as the paint application are all excellent. They omitted the scarf on her left hip in the illustration in this sculpt however and I would have liked to have seen that included in its design.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco18.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409589-4/pocco18.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco18" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Accessories are a bit light this time for a Revoltech release including only the Fraulein stand and 2 sets of alternate hands. I would have liked the “cat” in the illustration to be included.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco06.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409577-4/pocco06.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco06" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>I really like this character design and have always liked that sort of “naughty” angel motif. While she is scantly clad and overtly sexy it still falls into that realm of “cute” sexy not “fetishized (is that a word?) Perversion” and anything inappropriate is more than adequately covered. She’s sexy, got wings, is fantasy and post-apocalyptic and well- pulls of the “naughty” and “nice” thing pretty well.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco16.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409587-4/pocco16.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco16" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So with the good out of the way, let’s dive into the bad. My Pocco has horrible joint issues, her arms are fairly loose at the shoulders and her right leg keeps falling off. Granted you can pop them back on but it’s still annoying as hell. This would have been a flawless addition to my collection and a real win for the money but those two problems really suck out the joy of posing the figure.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/Kaiyodo/Revoltech/Pocco/pocco17.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/409588-4/pocco17.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="pocco17" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>So while I can say it’s a nice design and features a good sculpt, the QC on mine makes me hesitate to say go grab one today. Should you still want to add Pocco to your collection you can get yours at <a href=http://www.angolz.com/home/storebrowse.aspx>Angolz.com</a>. </p>
