		<title>Karen Onodera Swimsuit Ver. </title>
		<link>http://anime.collectiondx.com/review/anime-figure/karen-onodera-swimsuit-ver</link>
		<description>
 The sculpt on this one is quite stunning. The pose is dynamic but still compact that it can fit on your shelf with it taking too much space. The bikini she’s wearing is blue. Sexy and cute without being too gaudy or tasteless. Sometimes, simple is best.

 <label><p>This figure is of Karen Onodera. She is the shy, timid character that’s prone to passing out from the 2003 anime Please Twins! This figure represents her in the episodes where the characters go to the beach. The figure here was release by Good Smile Company in 2005. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/Onodera/Karen04.jpg.html" >

</div></p>
<p>To tell you the truth, I’m actually quite cheap when it comes to non articulated PVC figures of moe girls. Although I usually stick with trading figures, I don’t mind getting some larger ones for $20-25. Some of them can be quite expensive, ranging from $40 to $70 and higher. That to me is way too much for something that really just stands there and looks pretty (for that amount of money, I rather just get a high end robot toy). </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/Onodera/Karen05.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/469076-4/Karen05.jpg" width="475" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="Karen Onodera" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>However, I just HAD to get this one even though it was $40. The character design is just beautiful and this one is probably the best looking one. There have been various figures of her over the years, ranging from very well done like this one from GSC and one from Kotobukiya to an absolutely hideous one made by Yamato (there’s a reason why that one despite being a couple of years old, can still be found on the market. People know a crap sculpt when they see it).</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/Onodera/Karen07.jpg.html" >

<p>The sculpt on this one is quite stunning. The pose is dynamic but still compact that it can fit on your shelf with it taking too much space. The bikini she’s wearing is blue. Sexy and cute without being too gaudy or tasteless. Sometimes, simple is best.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/Onodera/Karen07.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/469078-4/Karen07.jpg" width="387" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="Karen Onodera" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The skin on her is nicely done. It’s the right color with having slightly pinkish areas sprayed on to give it a more realistic tone that adds to the adorableness. The face is nicely done as well. Again, compare this figure to the one Yamato did and you’ll see just how good of a job GSC did here. While this one actually looks like the anime character, the Yamato one is akin to one of those creepy kigurumi masks cosplayers wear. There appears to be a slight molding blemish on her torso. Probably just due to being it a mass produced figure but really it’s SO minor you’ll probably won’t care.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/Onodera/Karen06.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>What I really like on this figure is the hair. It’s quite dynamic the way all the strands of hair are just curled in and out. As you can see, even her bow on her head is done dynamically. The stand she comes with is clear green (makes you think of sour apple hard candy). The piece that holds up her one foot is just colorless clear.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/Onodera/Karen08.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Overall I’m glad to get this figure. It’s really well done and worth the money since the work put into it justifies the cost. I got my over at HobbyLinkJapan but they’re sold out of it now so it may be hard to find on the market. Do get one if you’re a fan of the character or just want a nice figure that’s pretty.</p>

 <label><p>The obstinate princess is just as arrogant as a Nendoroid.</p>
<p>Prism Ark started off as just a game, but was soon converted into an anime and various other formats - and now the tsundere princess Priecia is on her way to being a Nendoroid!</p>
<p>Various scenes can be recreated with Priecia's Nendoroid - from her flashy action poses to her most adorable expressions. The cute sculpting of the Nendoroid series remains as always, but this time the fine details on her ornate ornaments, as well as her vivid coloring cause her to draw attention to any figure collection. The miniature Kagura that featured in the official illustration is also included.</p>
<p>Height approx 100mm. Due July 2009 for 3,810 yen</p>

<p>The original illustration by huke, "BLACK ROCK SHOOTER" has been brought to life as a PVC figure! When ryo first saw huke's illustration, he was inspired to compose a song based on the image, huke then created a PV for that song, which became a huge hit online. Even a CD has been released!</p>
<p>She has been sculpted holding her huge Rock Cannon, in an striking pose that draws out her mysterious charm. Her flowing hair and jacket, as well as her weapon and beautiful stand have all been carefully sculpted, even the smallest of details had careful attention payed to them, making this a top quality figure from anybody's viewpoint.</p>

 <label><p>Hi, my name is Siren, and I am completely new to this review thing so please bear with me. I am a friend of Atom's and I wanted to prove that there are girls that like this stuff too! I don't consider myself to be an anime buff, but I do have a good sized collection. My sister gifts me with 30 disks of anime from her library every year for x-mas (not that I'm complaining :D) I hope you enjoy reading my review, feedback is appreciated.</p>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Today we are looking at Shana Enpatsu from the manga turned anime <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakugan_no_Shana>Shakugan no Shana</a> and a newer release in the Nendoroid line of super deformed figures by Good Smile. Shana (but sadly no melon bread) came courtesy of <a href=http://safe.anime-export.com/u_home.php>Anime-Export</a>.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered06.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The story follows a high school boy named Yuji Sakai as he gets pulled into the ongoing battle between light and dark (order and chaos, good and bad, you get the idea…) as he discovers he carries a secret and a unique “tool” within him that can tip the balance of things.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered04.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Thus enters a ” Flame Haze” that he takes to calling Shana (Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter) a warrior for the “balancing force” who takes to watching over and protecting Yuji with her katana. Shana is a no-nonsense girl who takes her role as a Flame Haze very seriously. As the series goes on she becomes close to Yugi despite the fact she is constantly yelling at him to shut up, even showing a goofy side when it comes to her love of melon bread.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered00.jpg.html" >

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Articulation is limited to the neck, shoulders, waist and legs. Her coat severely limits movement in the shoulders, so when using the alternate arms you may want to take it off for better placement.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered11.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446152-4/cutered11.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="cutered11" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The stand provided holds Shana securely enough to display just about anywhere. My favorite spot for her is on my desk with her angry face on, hand pointing accusingly with <b>Nietono no Shana</b> raised to strike (coat off of course.)</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered13.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446154-4/cutered13.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="cutered13" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Shana is my first piece and my biggest impression so far is… wow I suck at this! I've never had a poseable figure before, and I've gotta say the temptation is always there to toy with it. For example, when I try to make a minor change and say… switch an arm. The head pops off! I get a little frustrated.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered10.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446151-4/cutered10.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="cutered10" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p> Although it’s not “clutz” proof, the figure is durable. It has withstood my bumbling dismemberments with resilience and grace (totally accidental, I swear!) You might be amazed at how many separate pieces this figure has for something so simplistic (and cute.)</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered12.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446153-4/cutered12.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="cutered12" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The paint is well done with a few minor imperfections that are not apparent unless you are searching for them. However, with play, the paint seems to transfer from the coat to her hair and from the coat to her shirt. The first is not something you'll notice unless you're changing parts, the second stands out like a sore thumb.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/shana_enpatsu/cutered08.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446149-4/cutered08.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="cutered08" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>I think this is a great starter piece (I may be biased), and a fun "just because" collectible for any fan of the series. The alternate expressions do much to capture the essence of the character and could only succeed more if they had included a face with the soft big eyes (or eyes closed in bliss and mouth full) and melon bread half eaten, held in her hands. You can get Shana at <a href=http://safe.anime-export.com/u_home.php>Anime-Export</a>.</p>

 <label><p>Len Kagamine is the companion release to Rin Kagamine for the Nendoroid line (Super Deformed style) by Good Smile. Who's Len Kagamine? Why he's the mirror image of Rin Kagamine. Rin/Len Kagamine is a character used in the Character Vocal series software program. I got my Len from <a href=http://safe.anime-export.com/u_productpage.php?section=Figures&amp;Prodotti_id=4397>AnimeExport</a>. Thanks guys.</p>
<p>From<a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocaloid#Kagamine_Rin_and_Len> Wikipedia </a>:</p>
<p>"The Character Vocal Series is a computer music program that synthesizes singing in Japanese. Developed by Crypton Future Media, it utilizes Yamaha's Vocaloid2 technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics. A piano roll type interface is used to input the melody and the lyrics can be entered on each note. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. "</p>
<p>"Each Japanese Vocaloid is given an anime-type character with specifications on age, height, weight, and musical forte (as in the type of music, range and tempo). The characters of the first two installments of the series are created by illustrator Kei."</p>
<p>"Released on December 27, 2007, Kagamine Rin/Len is the second installment of the Vocaloid2 Character Vocal Series. Their family name was chosen by combining Kagami (Mirror), Ne (Sound), with the first syllables of their given names a pun on "Left" and "Right". They are not actually brother and sister, but are reflections of a mirror. According to Vocaloid's official blog, the package includes two voice banks: one for Rin and another for Len, both provided by the voice actor Asami Shimoda. Despite the double voice banks, the package still sells at the same price as Hatsune Miku. Their only cameo appearance in an anime is in (Zoku) Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei, where the two and Miku (and various other people and characters) try out to be the voice of Meru Otonashi."</p>

<p>The figure comes packaged in a cardboard box with a window on the front so you can see the figure and all the extra limbs which are stored in a plastic tray.</p>

</div></p>
<p>Like his mirror image counterpart, Rin it is a cute figure that is fairly well made but I personally do not care for the part swapping, especially for such a simple character design. However if you like the cutesy, super-deformed style of the Nendoroid line and they have a character that you like they are worth a look.</p>

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/rinkagamine/rin01.jpg.html" >

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The figure stands about 4 inches tall and comes packed with different limbs and alternate heads to provide a full range of emotions to display the character in. Also included is a blank head and a sticker sheet with different expressions to get just the right look.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Articulation is limited to the neck, shoulders and legs. Also included in the box is a clear display stand, which you NEED to display the figure in any way, it won’t support its own weight any other way.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/rinkagamine/rin04.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446213-1/rin04.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin04" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>The joints for the limbs appear to be similar to a Revoltech joint but not as tight and clicky and like a Revoltech joint if you over extend or firmly move a limb they pop off.</p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/rinkagamine/rin07.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446219-1/rin07.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin07" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Despite the pop off limb syndrome the figure feels fairly solid and well made with main figure being made of soft vinyl with the joints, accessories and the stand being made of plastic. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/rinkagamine/rin03.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446211-1/rin03.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin03" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Painted detail is excellent. Every line and detail is flawlessly applied with no over or under spray. </p>
<p><div class ="giImageBlock g2image_centered"><div class="one-image">

                              <a href="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery/Toys/goodsmile/nendoroid/rinkagamine/rin05.jpg.html" >

      <img src="http://anime.collectiondx.com/gallery2/gallery/d/446215-1/rin05.jpg" width="480" height="640" class="giThumbnail" alt="rin05" longdesc=""/>
    </a>

   </div>
</div></p>
<p>Overall it's a cute figure that fairly well made but I personally do not care for the part swapping, especially for such a simple character design. However if you like the cutesy, super-deformed style of the Nendoroid line and they have a character that you like they are worth a look. </p>
