T-Elos is a 1/8 scale figure from Alter, who also did a 1/8 scale figure of KOS-MOS V.4 that matches T-Elos.

T-Elos is the opposite of KOS-MOS aesthetically speaking. KOS-MOS has red eyes, and T-Elos has blue. Where KOS-MOS is pale-skinned and mostly wearing white and blue shades, T-Elos has dark skin and purple armor with deep maroon highlights.

T-Elos actually bears a closer resemblance to the original version of KOS-MOS, with the one-piece swim-suit style armor along with the large jeweled head crest as well. T-Elos is inscribed into the headpiece with gold paint details nicely.

While KOS-MOS V.4 has a much more dynamic and striking pose, T-Elos remains much more calm and stoic. It's suiting for her character though, who often is very brooding and enigmatic.

Although this pose really does help hammer in the fact that T-Elos very is long on legs.

T-Elos' hair is done in an unusual translucent yet opaque plastic. Light can pass through it fairly easily but you can't actually see through it. It looks very nice and has a wispy feel to it, as if it's flowing gently through the wind.

However, this hair's also probably the biggest flaw of the figure. There's just so much of it that you really can't get a good look at all of the detail put into the back. It also feels rather heavy and makes me worry that if a packaging mishap were to happen, maybe the head would just break off.

T-Elos doesn't have an really accessories aside from the L-BLADE weapon on her arm. The blade is done in a purple translucent plastic that nicely gets across the look and feel of a beam-weapon.

T-Elos' stand is done in the same hexagonal pattern that KOS-MOS's stand was done. She pegs in nice and securely. However because of T-Elos' simple pose, it's actually possible to have her stand without it and easily stay in place, so long as you're not shaking the table violent or anything mind you.

I think that between KOS-MOS and T-Elos, KOS-MOS is the figure that received more attention in terms of sculpt, detail, paint, and in terms of sales as well. I don't think that they're producing these pieces anymore and the price has sky-rocketed. While they were originally about 6000 to 7000 yen each, T-Elos averages for about $150, while KOS-MOS goes for $200. I think that you'd have to be a very big fan of Xenosaga or these character designs to pick them up at that price. T-Elos isn't a bad figure though, and if you can get it may be used at a lower price point, I'd recommend her. She's definitely the highlight of my personal figure collection.

The statues are essentially not poseable except for the right hand that can be moved up and down.

You get one set of head+arms+legs but two alternate abdomens. The statue has two switchable abdomens, one with a sexy but closed bustier (non-naked) and one that is open with breasts exposed (naked) and a base.

The head/arms/legs come off pretty cleanly and allow you to display the character with exposed breasts or not.

The paint jobs and sculpts on these statues are amazing. Just comparing these against the Ame-Comi statues, there is a huge difference in quality. There are no sloppy paint lines or problematic seams between parts. You can see fine detail on the hair, the bustier strings are clearly defined, the colors are solid. The tail is nice.

Overall composition is solid. The proportions are good. The neck is well-proportioned to the rest of the body (as opposed to other statues with the long-doll like necks). The seams between the parts are good-but if you switch out the pieces too many times the tightness between the parts begins to suffer and you start to see some loosening.

The stand is solid.

People will undoubtedly have their favorite Leopard Girl and, based on availability, I can already see that some are more popular then others. The color schemes are good-but some obviously work a little better than others.

If the statue has any faults, its that the pink doesn’t lend any warmth to Momo’s look. But there’s two others - Shell and Sharon that have richer paint jobs.

Kai is apparently “a master of the ancient Hariken style of swordsmanship and forgotten magic. Kai's name is a reference to Kai Hansen from the German metal band Helloween.”

Kai Harn is a wizard-warrior, the second Sorcerer General in the manga/show Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy - a sorcery, dark fantasy story that features a lot of Heavy Metal. A sample cover from one of the manga gives you an idea of the story/tone/look. Kai is apparently “a master of the ancient Hariken style of swordsmanship and forgotten magic. Kai's name is a reference to Kai Hansen from the German metal band Helloween.”

The figure comes in standard plastic packaging with a four-color box. Comes with sword and base, a small instruction booklet, and protective plastic sheets between cast-off pieces. No poseability.

I must admit that I’ve never seen the character this figure is based on, so I couldn’t really say how accurate the statue represents the character but I personally really like the overall clean look of the sculpt. Not a lot of little distractions and minor sprockets-just the broad simplicity of the character’s curves and the sword. The character emphasizes the breasts and the large “child-bearing hips” look, so Kai is definitely on the more adult side.

The most evident feature is the cast-off blue breast plate. This comes off via removal of Kai’s head (a standard feature on many of these statues). The breast plate is additionally fastened by several tiny, red clasps. These break very easily! (and I did so while trying carefully to undo the breast plate).

Frankly, once these come off-I’m not sure they will be re-attatch. Fortunately, you don’t need the red clasp/things to keep the breast plate on should you wish to. They add to the overall look but the breast plate fits over Kai’s neck.
The sculpt under the breast plate is nice. Good definition on the abdomen, and the breasts have a nice, natural shape that some of the statues in this genre don’t often have. And of course, the nipples are piercingly evident and are present on the breast plate, when Kai wears it.

Also cast-off is the belt/thong that Kai wears. This also comes apart using those delicate clasps-one on the rear and another articulation between the piece which reaches under the buttocks to the front. These seem slightly more durable and I was able to reattach them. Removal of the belt/thong reveals the lack of any anatomical correctness. A likeable and well proportioned abdomen and hips.

The feet articulate well with the base and seem to be pretty stable which is a good sign of a well-constructed statue. There’s good detail on all of the extremeties: boots and arms, not that these are much to really speak of in terms of the overall look.

On a minor note the sword seems to attach easily to Kai’s hand and goes well with the rest of the figure.

Overall, one of my favorite figures from Orchid Seed especially when they choose statues with more adult women type looks. The moe style may appeal to some, but I definitely prefer the ones that have a more mature feel.

The overall look of these figures is still pretty ‘PG’ rated. Sexy, but not overly so…sort of similar to the Bome statues that Kaiyodo makes.

This recent release of AmeComi statues includes Gotham’s other deadly duo: Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. These two sexy supervillains were paired up in Batman: The Animated Series and the affinity between them has stuck-becoming one of the Gotham/DCU’s more popular supervillain combinations.

The statue itself is not poseable, although the head is slightly adjustable. Ivy comes with a standard base, which looks pretty solid. No apparent weakness around the feet.

The paint job is good and the sculpt has matured since the first two figures (Batgirl & Supergirl) but I think it still falls into the same basic body form (bust size, etc.)as some of the other figures (Batgirl & Supergirl).

There’s still some minor sculpt issues-there’s a couple of seams that are pretty unsightly. The one that parts her hair being the one that stands out as most distracting. On the whole, there’s still a lot of really good detail on the sculpt, especially for the plant fiber tentacles and foliage surrounding her feet.

Colors are good-the greens contrast well against Ivy’s red hair.

Ivy has good presence when side-by side with Harley.

The overall look of these figures is still pretty ‘PG’ rated. Sexy, but not overly so…sort of similar to the Bome statues that Kaiyodo makes. I think that the upcoming Marvel Bishujo statues will probably raise the bar for these kinds of figures.

Its never been my perception that these figures have been provocative enough and given that people complain about these statues being too sexy-seems like, if you’re going to be accused of it, you might as well live up to it.

In terms of detail and execution, the figure is flawless. However, the pose is so wide it is hard to display if you are trying to fit it in your collection. It takes up a lot of shelf real estate.

Hayate Yagami is one of the main characters in the animated "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" series. Specifically, this is how she appears in the third series - "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS".

So basically, Hayate Yagami is a Magical Girl, who gets her powers from the Book of Darkness. She is depicted in this statue wielding her Book of Darkness floating near her left hand and holding her Schwert-Kreuz staff weapon in the right.

First thing you notice is that the box is HUGE. The box itself measures 18" x 15" x 10". Inside Hayate Yagami is sealed in a clear plastic tray, protected by plastic sheeting and twist ties.

The figure has a lot of parts, but requires little assembly.

The base requires two abs stands to be attached to it, and then the figures feet attach to those.

From there you attach the clear wing parts to the back, attach the Book of Darkness, and equip the weapon in her hand.

The Book of Darkness is supremely detailed, with printing on the inside of the book that is near legible. It affixes to the left wrist by a peg that is near invisible, giving the illusion of the book floating in space.

The Schwert-Kreuz staff is sharp and detailed, and is grasped by the right hand. You can place the hand anywhere on the staff, but it holds best on the textured area. The far end of the staff is decorated with a crystal cap.

Hayate Yagami is equipped with two different heads, each can wear the optional cap. The blond hair head is referred to as the "Unison" head.

Also included with the figure is a small magical girl figure called Reinforce II. The amount of detail on this small figure is amazing. Even this figure's book has print detail on the inside.

Reinforce II can be displayed on the wing of Hayate Yagami, or by itself on the provided stand.

If you followed this figure, you will notice that the final production version differs from the promo photos released. For one the stand here is white instead of clear, and the wings of the figure are translucent instead of solid black.

In terms of detail and execution, the figure is flawless. However, the pose is so wide it is hard to display if you are trying to fit it in your collection. It takes up a lot of shelf real estate.

Toyonaka Haruru is from the ecchi manga Mizuiro (ie., Skyblue) Splash, which features pretty girls in skin-tight one-piece swimsuits with see-through nipples.

This figure is a very attractive PVC figure, 1/7 scale (about 9-10 inches tall) statue, manufactured by Movic and sculpted by Saito Heel.

This figure is one of a pair from this series, the other character, Nishiumeda Asamiya comnes in an attractive blue swimsuit.

Toyonaka Haruru comes in a healthy 4 color box with diagrams, and a nice base.

The figure doesn’t have any posability but really has a GREAT sculpt and comes with accessories: some swim goggles, a towel, and a fabric swim jacket. The swim jacket is removable but can alternatively be pulled over Toyonaka’s top. I should note that taking the jacket off is much easier then getting the jacket on.

The head and arms can both be removed in order to make the jacket fit. I should note though, that even with these pieces removed the jacket is long-sleeved and maneuvering the arms into the sleeves and then getting the arms onto the figure can be a little tricky. The arm components actually need to be cajoled into the jacket before reattaching the arms to the abdomen.

The colors are rich and the red hair and swimsuit on this figure are quite striking. Sometimes the paint on the hair can actually scratch the shoulders. But its minor and barely noticeable.

The sculpt is relatively clean and simple but captures some great details on the breasts with nipples so strongly accentuated that they can actually be seen through the swim jacket!

Toyonaka’s rear curves are also very well-done and the sculptor did a nice job in capturing the swimsuit running around the back. Toyonaka is posed in an awesome crouch that accentuates her legs and curves.

Shana Enpatsu is the main female of the manga turned anime Shakugan no Shana and a recent release in the Nendoroid line of super deformed figures by Good Smile. Shana is a tough as nails, no nonsense girl with a dangerous sword and a soft spot for melon bread.

Hi, my name is Siren, and I am completely new to this review thing so please bear with me. I am a friend of Atom's and I wanted to prove that there are girls that like this stuff too! I don't consider myself to be an anime buff, but I do have a good sized collection. My sister gifts me with 30 disks of anime from her library every year for x-mas (not that I'm complaining :D) I hope you enjoy reading my review, feedback is appreciated.

Today we are looking at Shana Enpatsu from the manga turned anime Shakugan no Shana and a newer release in the Nendoroid line of super deformed figures by Good Smile. Shana (but sadly no melon bread) came courtesy of Anime-Export.

The story follows a high school boy named Yuji Sakai as he gets pulled into the ongoing battle between light and dark (order and chaos, good and bad, you get the idea…) as he discovers he carries a secret and a unique “tool” within him that can tip the balance of things.

Thus enters a ” Flame Haze” that he takes to calling Shana (Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter) a warrior for the “balancing force” who takes to watching over and protecting Yuji with her katana. Shana is a no-nonsense girl who takes her role as a Flame Haze very seriously. As the series goes on she becomes close to Yugi despite the fact she is constantly yelling at him to shut up, even showing a goofy side when it comes to her love of melon bread.

Packaging is a basic shadowbox style with windows on the front and each side showing the figure, accessories and alternate arms. Pictures of the alternate pieces on the figure are displayed on the sides and back of packaging.

The figure stands 10cm (about 4 inches) tall and comes with two alternate faces and sets of arms to help convey the true nature of the character.

Shana's sword (Nietono no Shana)

Her Necklace (Cocytus) and a clear plastic display stand to hold the figure upright. The only thing missing is a package of melon bread.

Articulation is limited to the neck, shoulders, waist and legs. Her coat severely limits movement in the shoulders, so when using the alternate arms you may want to take it off for better placement.

The stand provided holds Shana securely enough to display just about anywhere. My favorite spot for her is on my desk with her angry face on, hand pointing accusingly with Nietono no Shana raised to strike (coat off of course.)

Shana is my first piece and my biggest impression so far is… wow I suck at this! I've never had a poseable figure before, and I've gotta say the temptation is always there to toy with it. For example, when I try to make a minor change and say… switch an arm. The head pops off! I get a little frustrated.

Although it’s not “clutz” proof, the figure is durable. It has withstood my bumbling dismemberments with resilience and grace (totally accidental, I swear!) You might be amazed at how many separate pieces this figure has for something so simplistic (and cute.)

The paint is well done with a few minor imperfections that are not apparent unless you are searching for them. However, with play, the paint seems to transfer from the coat to her hair and from the coat to her shirt. The first is not something you'll notice unless you're changing parts, the second stands out like a sore thumb.

I think this is a great starter piece (I may be biased), and a fun "just because" collectible for any fan of the series. The alternate expressions do much to capture the essence of the character and could only succeed more if they had included a face with the soft big eyes (or eyes closed in bliss and mouth full) and melon bread half eaten, held in her hands. The joints for the limbs appear to be similar to a Revoltech joint but not as tight and clicky and like a Revoltech joint if you over extend or firmly move a limb they pop off.

The figure feels solid and well made with the figure being made of soft vinyl.The joints, accessories and the stand being made of plastic.

Painted detail is excellent. Every line and detail is flawlessly applied with no over or under spray.

Like his mirror image counterpart, Rin it is a cute figure that is fairly well made but I personally do not care for the part swapping, especially for such a simple character design. However if you like the cutesy, super-deformed style of the Nendoroid line and they have a character that you like they are worth a look.

For those of you who don't understand how an inarticulate figure of this size can cost so much, you need not look further than this figure. Each detail, whether it be mechanical armor, or the subtle shading in the cloth, is perfect.

Kos-Mos Ver. 4 comes from the videogame series Xenosaga, specifically Xenosaga III. She's a combat android, her name is an acronym for "Kosmos Obey Strategical Multiple Operation Systems".

As the name implies, this is the fourth version of Kos-Mos. This fourth version is the most dynamic of all the Kos-Mos Skeletons.

The box is interesting in that it is entirely translucent - which means you can view the figure from all sides before purchasing it.

I really cannot get over the level of detail in this figure. It's perfect. I've been over it again and again and I can find no single flaw. It's absolutely stunning.

The long flowing hair is made out of Translucent PVC and it flows as if she is charging into action.

Her armor and clothing have an extreme level of detail not found in many collectibles. For those of you who don't understand how an inarticulate figure of this size can cost so much, you need not look further than this figure. Each detail, whether it be mechanical armor, or the subtle shading in the cloth, is perfect.

Tampo logo details are microscopic, and add a realistic touch to this battle android.

As with any good anime figure, there is the obligatory panty shot. Why a combat android needs panties? Who cares!

This is what we like to call a BFG - Big F*ckin Gun. Despite the size, the gun is balanced perfectly. It is not removable, unfortunately.

The figure adheres securely to a base by two pegs that fit into the feet.

This is a really great figure. I don't mind a sexy figure if it has that mecha component, and technically she is a battle android.. so there you go.
