NYTF09: Organic Hobby

Organic not only produces original figures and collectibles they also distribute many other toy makers stuff. So the showroom was a real mix of stuff. Most has been seen online already at this point but it was still nice to see it all out on display.

Sky Girls is a popular OVA and anime series from a few years back and while Konami has a series of "toys" coming out Organic was showing fixed-pose statues of all the characters. Each is available in a regular and "wet" version, not sure what that means. My guess is a flat paint scheme verses a shiny paint scheme.

Everything from Shining Wind to Witchblade was on display in the rest of the showroom.

Some very nice statues from Cyborg 009 painted and in a pewter form.

Devil May Cry 3-D Poster was out. Hmmm, not sure there's a real demand for something like this. I personally think they "jumped the shark" on the Devil May Cry franchise about 3 sequels in myself.

Afro Samurai continues to be popular with fans and Organic had figures out on display.

Mushroom Dude! Actually this a soft vinyl item called Dokukkino. It appeared in a variety of colors. Any more than that I could not tell you.

Tokyo Tower is of course a famous monument in Japan (no it's not the Eiffel Tower!) and it seems there's a line of designer items bearing a logo of the Tokyo Tower.

Be sure to visit the gallery to see all the photos. And keep an eye on CDX proper for Josh's articles on the mecha oriented product available thru Organic.

At Comic Con, Organic Hobby

At Comic Con, Organic Hobby was selling a but of anime statues really cheap including those Sky Girls ones. I opted to get one from Witchblade, one from Burst Angel and a Bome figure instead.
