Review: Ichiban KUJI Premium Macross Frontier Ranka Lee (Galia 4 Dress)

Yak! Deculture! It's Ranka Lee!

Review: Maria Freed (Dark Color Variant)

So, here we have a figure that may straddle the line between AnimeCDX and CollectionDX! A "re-imagined" statue of one of the token female characters from the classic Go Nagai giant robot anime UFO Grendizer!

Detroit Metal City Vol. 1

Introducing Soichi Nigishi, a twenty three year old mama's boy with a musical degree and dreams of hitting it big. Now Nigishi (or Johannes Krauser II as his fans know him) is in a band, Detroit Metal City. DMC is catching it's big break, however the songs Nigishi finds himself singing are far from the saccharine sweet ditties he longs for. DMC is the most brutal death metal band in all of Japan, maybe even the world! It isn't long before rumors about Krauser II and his past leave reality far behind, building a reputation that haunts Nigishi wherever he goes.

Review: Ichiban KUJI Premium Macross Frontier Klan Klang (Meltrandi Pilot)

It's the Klan Klang statue the fans really want.

Review: Ryofu Housen Special Version (Ikki Tousen) Garage Kit Selection

This was a solid effort (i.e., a hefty statue) and really a wonderful statue by Griffin with a clean sculpt and a great pose but I’m not sure that the casual collector will think much of the price tag for the relatively simple (if beautiful) sculpt of this Ryofu statue.

Review: Figma Shakugan no SHANA (Flame Hair Version)

Finally a Shana WITH melon Bread! Today we look at the Figma release of Shakugan no SHANA.

Review: Mon-Sieur Bome Collection Noriko Takaya

It’s so rare for there to be figures based on 80’s anime. Noriko and the rest of the cast’s character designs were done by Haruhiko Mikimoto who is best known for doing the character designs for Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Super Dimensional Century Orguss and Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket. IMO, he is quite possibly one of the best character designers ever from the 1980’s era of anime production. The designs for Gunbuster were adapted for animation by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, who is one of the top character designers for the 90’s era of anime and did work for Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Review: Kai Harn

Kai is apparently “a master of the ancient Hariken style of swordsmanship and forgotten magic. Kai's name is a reference to Kai Hansen from the German metal band Helloween.”

Features NSFW images.

Review: Mon-Sieur Bome Collection Lucia

Although no scale is given, I estimate that she is about 1/8 scale, basing it on other figures of similar size (and 1/8 scale is generally the standard scale of most anime figures). I just have to say, the amount of detail on this figure is staggering. You can just see the love and care that went into an item such as this.

Review: Ichiban KUJI Premium Macross Frontier Klan Klang (Super Deformed)

Klan Klang in SD style. Like she wasn't cute enough in her micloned form already...
